CONTACT US

We invite you to join with us. We are looking for all kinds of people with relevant skills and experience: as donors, as volunteers and as partners. You are welcome to come out, tour around our quite extensive area, and see the work we do on the ground. You could be young or retired, with skills and experience relevant to our work. Examples that spring to mind as follows: agriculture, agronomy, livestock farming, water systems and sanitation, skilled trades (plumbing , electrics, masonry, metal working, and carpentry), tropical trees and plants, nursing, medicine, IT & Social Media, and education (including arts, sports and music). Or perhaps you just have energy, ambition, and new and interesting ideas.
Donations, large or small, personal or corporate, are of course especially welcome, and could be targeted to those programs that particularly interest you. One obvious example is our school fees and college bursary program, where demand vastly exceeds our capability. Kenya is not particularly rich in natural resources, but rich in human resources, and education is of vital importance. Out here in the rural African set-up a little money can go a long way. For example, fees for rural Secondary day Schools are about 18,000 KSh per year ( equiv at current rates to £108.00, while Secondary Boarding Schools vary from 40,000 KSh per year upwards, not including shopping for necessary items such as uniforms, books, stationery, mattresses, blankets etc.), and many parents are too poor to even afford these simple fees. So there are opportunities to sponsor children for a better life through education.
Currently we have eight full-time staff and a number of casuals who work as night security guards, and single mothers with multiple children who work in our tree nursery, where we produce around 80,000 tree seedlings a year from seeds.
Having surfed our website and seeing what we do and what we are about, and perhaps having read our annual magazine published every December, if you think this might appeal to you as a worthwhile, feel free to get in touch with us via the following.
