Tony Coren Project has initiated a program of tapping talents from the youth in the community. This department is headed by sports and culture officer who is in charge of planning, coordinating and implementing policies and programs in that department. The endeavour is  propagated by the fact that talents are also source of career. Moreover youth are energetic and if left without being exposed to useful ways of spending their leisure time, they may involve themselves in harmful habits.

when schools are closed in the month of August (Summer), the project sports and culture officer organizes tournaments for both girls and boys to play games of their choice. Mostly they prefer playing football, rugby and volleyball. The teams organize themselves in regions. These form a league which come to compete in a central field preferably near the biggest markets to enable community participation. The project finances teams when preparing in provision of attires and equipment e.g. Balls, nets,sport shoes, nets. The teams are also facilitated with means of transport when coming to the venue of the tournament. Each team which participate is awarded a certificate of participation. The winning team is awarded a trophy and a ball. During the tournament mentors from national teams are invited who offer motivation to the players as well as guidance in the various sporting activities. Those who do exemplary good are facilitated to further their skills. In month of December (holiday), the project organizes for cultural day. Youths perform group folk songs and dances in their ethnic communities. Individual performers also perform.

These cultural activities are meant for enriching and upholding our cultural heritage.Youths who show talent in their performance are identified and get project sponsorship to attain their dreams in relevant institutions of learning. This also helps in crowd pulling which is used by the project in advocating on project policies. The project assists teams in getting customers and other necessary materials. All teams which participate are awarded certificate of participation. The team that wins is sponsored to further their talents. To identify the good performers, adjudicators are invited who came to assess the performers and grade them. This has also made it look like a cultural day for the locality which is very entertaining as well. The following are teams that have participated in previous tournaments and cultural events ;
